To emphasise the negative impact of the smell from the Oceana fish factory, we are asking all of you to complete this affidavit which formally records your complaint and the air pollution nuisance you experience. This can be completed for any duration and it is important to record as much information as possible. Once you have completed the affidavit, please take it to the police station to be officially stampedĀ and then hand in the document to the FAHB organising team, or email us a scanned copy, so that we can submit this to the City of Cape Town. This is an important official process that we need to follow and we appreciate your help. The affidavit can be found here.

The smell yes is one thing but another should certainly be the question of whether the catching of juvenile pelagic fish, allowing them to rot and then fed to animals (animal feed and agriculture) is at all healthy for our and the oceans continued sustainable existence. To top it all we pump our excretion and the chemicals that go therewith into the oceans where they further disturb our delicate balance.
